New Work by Ellsworth Kelly is presented at Ferus Gallery in his first solo show in Los Angeles. The exhibition includes four paintings and a sculpture, including the expansive Green Red Yellow Blue spanning twenty-one feet wide with four separate panels. “Five large works by noted New York purist Ellsworth Kelly currently brighten Ferus Gallery. The most recent is an untitled four-panel painting in which the large separate canvases are each painted a solid primary color of high intensity. It is a very good lesson for anybody who has never tasted, smelled and bathed in sensations of pure pigment.” (Wilson, W., The Los Angeles Times, March 25, 1966)
